Parrots react to Wells earthquake, in Cedar City

Many of our parrots were thrashing around.. banging against the bars of their cages this morning, desparately trying to escape an unknown force. I jumped out of bed, ran into the front rooms where my husband was already trying to calm everyone down. "Olivia, whats going on?" "Hey everyone, it's ok!" "What's wrong guys? Was there an earthquake somewhere, or what?" Tonka and Yoda, two of the feathered birds in another room were rapid-firing questions to each other " Hey boys, what's going on here?!" "Are you o.k.?" "What was that?"

Earthquake? Yup. As usual. Earthquakes in NV, ID, UT, normally do cause this same panic-reaction from them. Neither me nor my spouse felt a thing (as usual, too) however, some of the birds will spend the next couple of days or so,  acting a bit edgy, not trusting the security of their  usually safe perches.
